About eight years ago I began longing for a permanent studio of my own — a dream that finally came true in 2019 as Narrative. Until then I rented spaces for limited periods and set up temporary locations for shoots, but I always missed the refinement that cannot be created in just a few weeks.
We wanted both the atmosphere and the equipment to reflect refinement and attention to detail — and that took time. The project first planned for spring slipped to June, then to autumn, and was finally finished in December; in return, we got to perfect every detail.
Transforming the space and using it differently from its original purpose brought plenty of challenges. Sincere thanks to everyone who contributed — builders, designers, contractors and every professional who passed through.

The space was completely reconfigured to serve a photo workshop, with every element having its own place and purpose. Three things guided us: keep it simple, versatile and compact.
The workshop is in Odorheiu Secuiesc, on the first floor of the former office building of the thread factory, at 69B Nicolae Bălcescu street, surrounded by offices, warehouses and other companies.
The building is easy to reach and has parking. The space is heated and air-conditioned.

As its industrial style suggests, The Narrative is a technical studio — the emphasis is not on the natural qualities of the space or natural light, but on using equipment to make photographs.
We have tried to acquire every tool a shoot might need — whether portraits, family photos, fashion or product work.
The “arsenal”, of course, keeps growing: new backdrops, equipment and custom solutions.
Studio photography is like painting on a white canvas — only creativity sets the limits.

Of course, we will keep “moving” whenever the situation calls for it.
All our equipment is mobile, we regularly work in several cities around the country, and most of our services are not tied to a fixed location.
